Alan
Stammers and Formula One Legends
Formula
One Legends
has a large range of formula one pictures by Alan
Stammers
featuring many Formula One stars such as Michael Schumacher.
Legends
in Time was established in 1988 when Formula one fanatic,
Peter Ratcliffe, was searching for something collectible from
his favourite passion and realised there was very little available.
Shortly after Peter Ratcliffe met Alan Stammers who had been
creating good quality motorsport art for some years. Peter could
clearly see that Alan Stammers had hidden potential as regards
an artist as well as an individual style which is copied by
many artists today. Peter could clearly see that with a few
changes, time, enthusiasm, support and motivation Alan had immense
talent. The two met up and the rest is history.. literally for
since 1988 Legends In Time has produced the largest collection
of signed and collectible limited edition prints of motorsport
of it's type in the world.
In 1991 Legends In Time began to sell art
by Alan Stammers and other Formula one articles and products
such as memorabilia and in 1992 opened the first gallery in
Eton. The second gallery followed in 1996 in Windsor and became
a landmark for Formula one fans. Although this gallery has
now closed and the Internet has taken over as our window to
the world of motor racing fans. Here is an outline of the

Biography
Alan Stammers grew up with the sight and sound of motor racing,
the family farm bordering Snetterton Circuit in Norfolk. His
talent as an artist was to be greatly influenced by his love
of motor sport.
His work in this area, now spanning 30 years, has been endorsed
by many of the greatest names in motor sport from Moss and Fangio
to Senna and Schumacher.
Recent subject matter has become more varied and in 2003 three
of Alan's drawings were used exclusively to commemorate the
end of Supersonic flight by Concorde; commissioned by British
Airways, 500 prints of each drawing were produced and signed
by the artist and by the last Chief Concorde Pilot, Mike Bannister.
His work continues......
Recent drawings include World Champion, Valentino Rossi, wearing
the number 7 helmet in memory of motorcycle legend Barry Sheene,
and Jenson Button in his BAR Honda.
